Kohtaamisia / Heartbeats is a feature film directed by Saara Cantell which I had the honour to compose a score for.
The film won several prizes at European film festivals and my music was nominated for the Finnish Film Prize 2010.
This exceptional film consists only of nine scenes, which were filmed without any cuts. The lives that these scenes describe are subtly interrelated.
I chose a chamber music type of instrumentation, a string quartet, piano and various percussion.
