Also Huhtala is using electronica to modify his beautiful acoustic bass sound and\u00a0Ketola employs loops and samples of his own live playing, manipulating them through the Ableton Live application and thus creating spontaneously complete soundscapes.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a clip from their first rehearsal in March 2016:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/159696502\" width=\"280\" height=\"158\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>F# performs as a trio as well as in combination with various (mostly international) guest musicians.<br \/>\nIn the run of years F# has toured with the Estonian singers Laura P\u00f5ldvere, Ivi Rausi and Liina Saar.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_976\" style=\"width: 730px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-976\" class=\"wp-image-976 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sidhille.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_4489.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sidhille.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_4489.jpg 720w, http:\/\/www.sidhille.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_4489-300x169.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sidhille.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_4489-640x360.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-976\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hille &#8211; Rausi &#8211; Huhtala &#8211; Ketola &#8211; P\u00f5ldvere (photo by Raul Ollo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jfjpHKaENAo\" width=\"280\" height=\"158\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Liina Saar visited the studio in Viljandi while F# were recording their debut album &#8216;the wannsee punk&#8217; (released in spring 2018) and spontaneously participated in three of the tracks on the entirely improvised album.<br \/>\nThe fact that all members of the band are acclaimed composers in their own right contributes to the extreme cohesiveness of the improvised material.<br \/>\nMany a critic noted just that: &#8216;The album being so well organized and aurally multi-faceted, it is at times hard to fathom that all the music on the album was improvised and recorded during a single session&#8217; (Finnish Music Quarterly 10-2018).<\/p>\n<p>Also Austrian saxophonist Herbert K\u00f6nighofer has been a frequent collaborator visiting Finland in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
